Week 21
Durrington Working Men’s Club are the league champions after their 3-3 draw against Enham C. in the title decider. Dave Fitz-Henry and Carl Johnson shared the opening two frames, Neil Carroll won the next frame only for Paul Savage to take the fourth. In the final game Martin Hill won a high scoring first frame against Gary Budden, only for Gary to win the final frame of the night.
Enham C also drew their game in hand 3-3 against Enham D. Paul Savage and Alan Walters shared the first two frames, Gary Budden beat Mark Walters 2-0 in the second game and Carl Johnson lost the final game 2-0 against Gary Walters.
Last year’s champions finished third after a 5-2 win against bottom side Wolversdene B.
Enham D after being at the bottom of the league for most of the season finished in fourth place after an excellent run of results culminating in last week’s 5-2 over Wykeham Club. Jimmy Soper-Dyer beat Andy Churchill 2-0 in the opening game with the help of a black ball game in the second frame. Jeremy Stickland and Steve Green shared the next two and Alan Walters and Rob Goodier also shared the final frames.
Enham B poor run at the end of the season continued with a 5-2 home loss to Old Castle Club.
Andy Bannan and Ross Holland drew the opening frames, Ryan Pumfrey lost the next two against John McDermott. The final frames were shared by Ken Brown and Shaun Dabill.
